Introduction to Hand Therapy has been recognized as a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of caring for all hand injuries. This course is designed to provide in-depth information on evaluating and treating patients with injuries to the hand. The emphasis is on topics which are clinically applicable for patient care. Lecture portions cover the following topics: functional anatomy; comprehensive hand evaluation; exercises for strength and range of motion; modalities; wound and scar care; splinting principles; and protocols for treatment of common hand pathologies
