Significant anatomical/kinesiological and developmental characteristics of typical rib cage alignment and activity will be reviewed. Atypical rib cage activity in infants and young children with neuromuscular involvement will be discussed. Treatment strategies directed toward improving rib cage and respiratory musculature activity will be explored through group movement lab sessions and audiovisual presentations.
