Scholarships

One of the activities of our Annual Conference is the Student Scholarship Auction. With these funds, NCOTA sponsors two scholarships annually. These funds are managed by the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. For more information and to apply, go to www.aotf.org


National AMBUCS™, INC.

National AMBUCS™ has been awarding scholarships to therapy students in their junior/senior year in a bachelor’s degree program, or a graduate program leading to a master’s or doctoral degree for over fifty years.

National AMBUCS™, Inc. will accept applications from Mid-January until April 15 annually; final scholarships winners will be announced in late June.

  1. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
  2. Applicant must document financial need
  3. Applicant must be accepted at the junior or senior undergraduate, or graduate level in Occupational Therapy, or four other therapy programs.
  4. Program to which the student is accepted must present a curriculum ACCREDITED by the appropriate health/therapy profession authority.
  5. Applicant must express intent to enter clinical practice in chosen field of therapy in the United States upon completion of course of study for which aid is requested.

NCOTA Scholarships

The NCOTA Scholarships and the McGraw Scholarship are administered by the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF).

The NCOTA Scholarships and the McGraw Scholarship are administered by the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF). To qualify for the NCOTA Scholarships, the applicant must be enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy curriculum in North Carolina, and must be a member of NCOTA at the time of application and at the time the scholarships are awarded. One NCOTA Scholarship is designated for an OT student and one for an OTA student.

Applications are annually available on the AOTF website: www.aotf.org.

  1. You must 'submit' your application by 11:59 pm Pacific Time, October 27, 2016.

  2. Program Director's must submit their online forms by 11:59 pm Pacific Time, November 30, 2016.  We will automatically send your program director an online form to complete the week of October 31.

  3. References (two are required) must submit their online forms by 11:59 pm Pacific Time, November 30, 2016.

  4. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY APRIL 2017.

 All of the scholarship application materials are available on the AOTF website. Only one application is necessary for all of the scholarships for which an applicant is eligible. AOTF uses a single application form for all scholarships it administers, so students who apply are also considered for other scholarships.
