Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commitment The NCOTA Board is committed to upholding the mission of the NCOTA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee which is to support an increase in the diversity of OT in North Carolina; to help address issues of inequity experiences by practitioners, their clients, and the larger community; and to facilitate a climate of true inclusiveness and collegiality for all North Carolina occupational therapy practitioners. The following Equity Policy was updated in March 2025 primarily through the work of the NCOTA DEI Committee and is provided to all board members as a part of the board member handbook following board vote in July 2025 to reflect the board’s engagement in ongoing review of systemic processes that should facilitate inclusiveness and collegiality among members and non-members alike.
