Pre-Conference Institute: Kit Frank, OTR. "Position for Function: Make it fit with Cardbaord Carpenty"
An exciting opportunity you don't want to miss. Read below for more details on this unique experience we are offering this year at our Fall Conference and click here to view a video!
"Positioning needs are universal, yet one size doesn’t fit all.  The best equipment is customized, durable, attractive, safe, functional, needed and wanted, and constructed responsibility and inexpensively. Utilizing Adaptive Design techniques, you will learn how designing and fabrication with tri-wall cardboard meets user needs, whether in New York City or the Ecuadorian Andes.  This hands-on workshop will review concepts of positioning and customization and will teach the basics of cardboard carpentry.  You will better be able to maximize client’s function when you have this tool.  You will also learn about client and family participation and empowerment, and become aware of international movements and innovations to meet the needs of people with disabilities"
