Annual Conference

The Annual Conference is typically held in the fall and spans across a three-day weekend.  The NCOTA also hosts a day-long conference annually in the spring.  Conferences consist of several learning opportunities for OT practitioners to become involved as presenters, exhibitors, or attendees.  These opportunities include short educational courses; pre-conference institutes; courses on ethics and diversity, equity, and inclusion; Special Interest Section round-table discussions; poster sessions; vendor/exhibitor fairs; and friendly assistive technology/adaptive equipment competitions.  The NCOTA Continuing Education Co-Chairs review proposed conference content (educational courses, posters, etc.) prior to releasing the conference schedules to ensure that the learning opportunities meet the criteria for a continuing competence activity that was established by the NC Board of Occupational Therapy.  Courses offered are vetted to be evidence-based and either research- or practice-focused.
